A recent article shows that the radio industry is growing around the 21st century of rapid  growth in technology. Also, from primary research many newscast listeners listened to digital radio on their phones or in cars. This helps enhance radio experience for viewers as it is now easily accessible. 

I have learnt that my radio newscast is able to reach my target audience easily as there is no 'digital divide' because radio is now accessible on smart phones and various other platforms.
